Doleh’s Work at Baitulmaal
Based in Irving, Texas, Baitulmaal is a four-star international humanitarian relief organization. It provides emergency aid, poverty relief, education and economic development, and Islamic charitable giving. When translated from Arabic, Baitulmaal’s meaning is that of an “Institution of Charity.” In addition to its headquarters in Texas, the nonprofit has offices in California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, and New Jersey, as well as international offices in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East.
As the National Events Senior Manager of Baitulmaal, Nayef Doleh organizes various nationwide fundraising events, including the “Break Your Fast with Baitulmaal” event, during the month of Ramadan. In 2025, for example, Doleh and Baitulmaal have scheduled iftars in Levittown, New York; Richardson, Texas; Bellevue, Washington; and Lisle, Illinois. Featured speakers include Sami Hamdi, Ismahan Abdullahi, Imam Imran Salha, and Muniba Mazari.
In the past, Baitulmaal has also launched nationwide tours featuring prominent figures. In 2019, for example, Doleh organized a tour with record-breaking cricketer Younis Khan, visiting various cities to promote the nonprofit’s humanitarian efforts.
Additionally, Doleh has organized Baitulmaal’s participation in seasonal programs, such as Ramadan food packages, Udhiyah/Qurbani meat distributions, winter relief efforts, and back-to-school initiatives, to support underserved populations worldwide.
The funds from the various events Doleh organizes help support Baitulmaal’s mission. Its donations for emergency aid, for instance, provide medical supplies, including antibiotics and test kits, to help heal the sick and protect communities from illness; build emergency shelters that provide a temporary home for the displaced; deliver food assistance to guard against life-threatening malnourishment; and provide safe, clean drinking water and other life essentials.
Doleh’s Work at UHR
Nayef Doleh and the dedicated team at Arlington, Texas-based UHR, provide various humanitarian programs to multiple countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Libya, India, East Africa, Morocco, Bangladesh, Somalia, Sudan, Syrian refugees, Turkey/Syria, and Yemen. UHR is also a four-star international humanitarian relief organization and was recognized in 2023 as a top-rated nonprofit.
UHR’s programs include food security, supporting vulnerable families around the world with customized, nutritious food parcels; emergency medical shipments and equipment and surgical treatment of preventable diseases like cataracts; rapid needs assessment of epidemic outbreaks and effective intervention to stop the spread; clean and reliable water resources; educational scholarships; and assistance packages to internally displaced persons, which include winterization kits and non-food items and tents.
UHR also has an Orphan Sponsorship Program that provides orphaned children in Palestine, Jordan, and East Africa with nutritious meals, clothing, essential health care, education, and other basic necessities.
UHR in the United States
Doleh and UHR provide support and assistance in the United States. The UHR DFW Local Community Outreach has a 5,000-square-foot resource center in Arlington, Texas, established to help the Dallas-Fort Worth triplex and its neighboring communities. UHR responds to natural disasters with a team of volunteers deployed to affected areas to help provide relief to the victims.
UHR provides food to people in need in shelters and to people experiencing homelessness. It also provides backpacks and school supplies to children in needy communities. UHR helps feed hundreds of homeless people in Dallas.
The UHR Arlington resource center also provides low-income families and individuals with essential goods, such as furniture, household items, hygiene products, and clothing. The resource center’s food pantry helps to provide for families each day as its community reach continues to grow. It aims to feed 500 families per month.
Doleh’s work with Baitulmaal and UHR has inspired and motivated many to volunteer and advocate for social change in their communities and abroad.
